Mind and wealth: the unity or conflict?

Abstract


The article offers an analysis of the place of medical research, in particular on the issue of life extension, longevity in the context of other areas of research, expenditure of material and human resources, of different values. All people get sick and die. Today, of just a few people have under their control the huge resources which are not used for solving these problems. There are several reasons, but including — no connection between intelligence and wealth: accumulation of any resources and their use are different spheres of intellectual activity, can be based on different knowledge and different values.
