СHILEAN SOCIALIST AND COMMUNIST CAME BACK TO “LA MONEDA” AFTER 40 YEARS
Abstract
In the article is being analyzed the evolution of the chilenean socialists in the ten years before and after the government of Salvador Allende and the “Coupe de Etat” the 11th of January 1973 leaded by the General Augusto Pinochet. The analysis is based on the historical facts, documents and testimonies of some witnesses and people involved in tragic historical events that happened in Chile during the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21th century. The activities of the “Frente de la Unidad Popular” (Popular Union Front) and personally Salvador Allende as a president was living prove of the influence mark by y the 3 victories of the socialists at the presidential elections after the downfall of the dictatorship of the General Augusto Pinochet. The elections after the dictatorship was won by Ricardo Lagos one time and Michelle Bachellete two times. After the second victory of Michelle Bachellete at the presidential elections, she cough to consolidate her position on the top of the Chilean political Olimp and to demonstrate to the all of the world society to the connection between the Front of the People’s Unity from the 70-th of the XX century and the Chilean socialist and other left forces from the first and second ten years of the XXI century.
