PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THE GAME THEORY IN THE PROCESS OF STUDYING THE EDUCATIONAL DISCIPLINE «ECONOMIC CONFLICTOLOGY»

Abstract


The article discusses the most successful attempt to solve the basic economic problem, identified by Marx — of the mismatch between the various market participants (economic agents), is the theory of games developed in the 50-60s by John. von Neumann and O. Morgenstern and having currently a wide range of applications in various fields of scientific knowledge — political science, economics, mathematics, theory of conflict, etc. The theory of games combining the accuracy of the mathematical and psychological features of participants of the market has great heuristic potential for the analysis of conflicts including economic conflicts. The article analyzes the possibility of practical application of the theory of games in the study of the course «Economic conflictology» in a Humanities University, examines the ways of solving the topical problem of formation of professional competences in the process of studying this discipline. The authors emphasize the fact that during the development of the course «Economic conflictology» special attention is given to the application of the theory of games that helps to choose the best strategy based on the submissions of other participants, their resources and possible actions etc. Knowledge in the field of economic conflictology resolution (application of modern methods of conflict resolution, including the theory of games) allows future specialists to identify and resolve economic conflicts.
