V. M. Kamnev, K. V. Kryukova

Abstract

The methodology of humanitarian knowledge is considered to be one of the most important in modern philosophy of science. The priority of axiological motivation of this knowledge, as a rule, is an insurmountable obstacle to the holistic and universal view about a particular subject of study. The authors attempt to determine the origins of this methodological difficulty and its implications in the formation of philosophical systems and their actualization in the civihzational space of the modern world. The authors believe that the current research trend is governed by the value narratives of the Western Enlightenment. The discrepancy between the fundamental value of the horizons of European bourgeois culture and its quest for civihzational dominance significantly limit the heuristic potential of the Humanities, as an artificial reduction of the original semantic imperatives of any of the crops to a stylized ideals of the enlightenment, leads to civihzational conflict. Therefore, efficient resolution of such contradictions involves the reform of the methodological principles of the Humanities on the basis of recognizing the value of the parity distinctive sociocultural systems.
