FOREIGN POLICY OF THE SOVIET AND POSTSOVIET ERA: FOR THE PROBLEM OF THE CONCEPTUAL TRANSFORMATION

Abstract


The article considers problems of evolution of the trend of foreign policy of the USSR and post-soviet Russia. This purpose was tried to solve with analysis of conceptual and ideological foundation of the foreign policy of the USSR and modern Russia. It was analyzed the main theoretical conceptions of the soviet foreign policy — "proletarian in¬ternationalism", "peace coexisting", "detente" and "panhuman values" ones. It was made a conclusion that main contradiction of the soviet foreign policy — the conflict between ideology and policy. With one hand conception of "proletarian internationalism" meant the strong contradiction between the USSR and the West. With another one geopolitical reality needed to establish cooperation of the USSR and the West in economical and political fields. As for post soviet period it was tried to analyze conception of the closest integration of Russia with the West as the main aim of Russian foreign policy which was proclaimed in period of the 1990. With analyzing the modern period an author estimates positions of liberal and patriotic parts of Russian political elite for foreign policy. In conclusion an author tries to formulate wais for optimization of foreign policy line for Russia in XXI century.
