RESEARCH OF THE VALUE BASES FOR YOUTH'S CHOICE OF DIGITAL PLATFORMS IN THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract


The problem of digitalization of education, which is closely related to the issues of socialization, the formation of value orientations, mechanisms and forms of management of political activity of representatives of the younger generation, is extremely relevant and requires a comprehensive academic solution. The purpose of this article is the conceptualization of modern digital educational resources, the study of the axiological foundations for the choice of educational trajectories by Russian youth, implemented through the introduction of a “platform approach”, and the assessment of their impact on the transformation of the values of young individuals. To analyze the effectiveness of the development of digital educational services and identify the specifics of political values that determine the criteria for their choice, the authors conducted focus groups with students of St. Petersburg State University and a program regional survey of representatives of the younger generation in the online questionnaire format (1111 respondents aged 16 to 35 years). In the course of the study, various assessments of digital platforms available in the field of education were obtained, in particular: aggregator platforms; platforms aimed at providing services; platforms that contribute to the implementation of state educational and cultural trajectories. 75.3% of respondents said that they consider digital Internet platforms an important component of the modern education system, 24.6% did not rate their relevance highly. At the same time, the analysis of the axiological determinacy of choice showed that a negative attitude towards educational digital platforms is characteristic of adherents of classical conservative ideology, “liberals” are more impressed by non-state educational portals, and representatives of young people who are guided by communist ideas are most concerned about digital inequality. The study also demonstrates the relationship between the options of political activity of young people with significant factors in the choice and use of educational digital platforms. Based on the analysis of trends of axiological transformations in the youth environment, a general conclusion is made that in addition to a detailed study of the tools of digitalization of education, a value measurement of the critical competence of the younger generation in a digital society is necessary. In this regard, the regulation of “communication-digital” relations through the implementation of effective information strategies by the state in the course of implementing youth policy is considered relevant.
